Hi,
I’m not sure if anyone can help but I am a Canadian citizen who has lived in the UK for 15 years. My parents always said that they would sort out our immigration status to stay here but never did. So I got stuck into a situation for applying for a indefinite leave to remain under human rights. I have lost the case and keep re applying. I wanted to ask if I went back voluntarily how will the Canadian government assist me as my parents dont even live in Canada anymore so I’ll be on my own. Also is there any way I can at least sort out my passport and National insurance from the UK to prevent me becoming homeless. Really need someone’s help because this UK government is slowly becoming corrupt

Are you sure you are a Canadian citizen? If so you will be able to apply for a passport through the Canadian embassy. What kind help are you expecting? If you are an adult you will have to establish you life inn Canada on your own. You also have the option of living with your parents in another country. Not sure you can cause the UK government of being corrupt if your family was living illegally in the UK. If you are Canadian it would be hard to argue that you need to remain in the UK for H&C reasons since Canada is s safe country.

I have been living with other family. I haven’t seen or heard from my parents in years as they stopped reaching out to me. As far as I know they don’t live in Canada anymore don’t know their whereabouts. The help I was asking for is being able to obtain a national insurance number or work permit to start working as I haven’t been back to Canada in 15 years so I don’t know how the system works. I don’t want to go back stranded basically

As I previously specified that you should contact the Canadian embassy to get a new passport. You can obtain a SIN right away at the service Canada office. You may already have a number from your childhood.

Thank you for your help
