What is canadian visa application center in colombo? Why do we need to submit the passport to them instead of canadian high commission in colombo?

Hello again Amall, I answered this question in your other post, here it is again. If you have any other questions try to just post them once if possible . A bit easier (and less confusing) for people to respond to just one topic.

Hello Amall, CIC has been opening Visa Application Centres (or VACs as they are known) in most of the countries around the world where High Commissions/Embassies are located. The purpose of the VACs is to take over some of the clerical/administrative paperwork for visa applications so that the VOs will have more time to focus their expertise and resources on the actual processing/decision making aspects of applications. So even though your PR file is reviewed by the Immigration Officers at the High Commission, the movement of passports and visas can be conducted by the VACs. Here is a link for you to read more:
