Great weekend to all,
I am a Canadian citizen living abroad. I got married to a non Canadian wife while living abroad,
we got blessed with a baby girl 6 months ago
I started an application for my baby girl citizenship already.
Right now I am thinking to return to Canada permanently and thinking to start a sponsorship for my wife beforehand.
1. should I wait for my baby daughter to get her citizenship finalized. provided that will be soon ?
2. is the process simplified in this case, when daughter is Canadian? because that show the relationship is very genuine ?
3. Does it affect the paper work simplicity?

Thanks to all members,

Peace and love

Hi

1. No, you don't need to wait for her Certificate of Citizenship to be processed.

2. No, just having a child together does not simplify the case. You must follow the same process as everyone else.

3. Paper work is still the same. If you meet certain conditions, one of which is having a child, you don't need to submit as many relationship proofs.
