What a schmuck! "Canada is bad, we have drunk people. Some lady got raped. Stay where you're at." At the end of the day you're going to have that EVERYWHERE! But the crime rate in Canada is significantly lower than that of the US.

Not true at all.

My brother use to live in Vancouver , in an expensive area. Numerous car break ins.

He now lives in Dallas in a property which costs 5 times less and is about 10 times bigger, never had any break ins at all! Payes less taxes and has a much higher quality of life.

Unlike Vancouver which is full of addicts, graffiti , and litter, his Dallas suburb features large houses wide streets and clean streets.

Most of the US is really nice, it's just the inner city areas you gotta avoid.

In US you get more for less and it's pretty obvious most of the immigrants we get are those who couldn't get a greencard

The problem is, you are comparing a suburb, to a major city. That's like saying, a Ferrari is better than a Prius. While most would agree, you have to compare the same things. If you are speaking about gas milage and cost of maintenance, Prius wins.

Dallas is far larger than Vancouver and any other Canadian city, and features excellent freeways, ample jobs, and a very low cost of living. I didn't just mean his specific suburb, but the city in general. No Canadian city features a great economy and a low cost of living.
So using your example the Ferrari costs half the price of the Prius and goes further too.

No, not true at all in reality. There are lies and statistics. Yes the U.S has violent crime, but it also has a lots of race and poverty issues that I don't want to get in to. Most of the crime is just gangs killing each other in parts of the city no one EVER goes to.

In the normal and nice parts of the city it is actually pretty nice and safe.

In Canada we have so much property crime, home invasions etc..and a person isn't even allowed to defend their property. You could shoot a criminal breaking into your house, and would have to spend years clearing your name.

...

Canada has a pathetic soft justice system, and youth can pretty much get away with anything. There was a drunk driver who killed a family of 4 and only got 3 years in jail, and was out in about 1.5 years on parole!!!! What a sick country.
You seem unhappy in Canada. Perhaps you want US style gun "right" in Canada to protect you property, and Stand Your Ground law. That is Florida and Texas and they are dealing with them now. You want a sick country? How about a jilted lover whose wife was sleeping with around. He came home and murdered the guy bur got off under Stand Your Ground after arguing that he was "protecting his wife." He killed an unarmed person and served no time. That's a sick country.

You want to see a run down city? Head to Detroit then. I happened to have lived there (Wayne County within 8 miles not McComb or Oakland) so I know. It is quite interesting how you called statistics "lies" but then admitted that the US has more violent crimes. The reason is the difference in gun control laws between the two countries which no doubt many of us considered before choosing Canada as our new home.

By the way, you always like to have the last words. Most of us don't reply back not because we agree but because there is no point in feeding the troll. We reply for the benefits of other users only.
