I am a Canadian PR and I landed in May 2015. At the time of landing the immigration officer did not sign my B4 forms since I had mentioned that I am landing for a month only. I was told to get the B4 form signed and stamped when I returned to settle for more than 12 months.
Currently, I will be renting a Airbnb for a month and looking for apartments for my long term stay. Once I get an apartment, I will have my stuff and cars shipped from the US.
My question is what would be best option for me to get the B4 forms stamped. When I arrive at the Toronto airport should I explain my situation and give the temporary address or go directly at the customs office when my stuff arrives with the B4 forms and get it stamped there with the permanent address.
I am leaning towards going directly at the checkpoint as by then I will have a long term apartment and would have also made a decision on shipping one or both of my cars.
Your advice is appreciated.
