Pre-Assessed..
Hello everyone-
I was granted Canadian PR in 2000 under skilled category. In 2001, I was working in US and landed, applied for SSI, DL etc and came back to US.
Since then, i lived in US.... Married now and thinking about moving to Canada.... now the question;

Do i need to reactive my Canadian PR or reapply (Start over again)?

You PR status is long gone, so if you qualify you have to reapply.

Thanks PMM.

It took 5 months back in 2000 without an interview, how long does it take from start to finish?
Do i get any credit for previous PR and taxes etc?
Would it be possible to go to Canada on my US passport to expedite the process? Good night!

You can travel to Canada and apply for admission on your U.S. passport, but it won't expedite anything.

For processing times, please consult the CIC website at www.cic.gc.ca

There is also an assessment tool there that you can use to see what in your personal history gives you points.
