I never had luck connecting on this number..not sure if it even works.. I am calling from USA if it matters. I use the other number 819-997-8338 which still has a better chance of connecting.. if there are any other numbers out there please share those too. Thanks.

I think they are ignoring the complaints. It's closer to tyranny than democracy these services because they are effectively saying you only have to accept what we offer regardless of the quality of service, and you should not object, and if you do, we won't even acknowledge it. Go to twitter and read the terrible stories. Some people were told their applications is not in the system, and passport Canada doesn't know where it is
I got charged from Brampton. I am from BC, so I sent my application to their Mississauga address. How about you?
I think Ontario offices are faster than Quebec's. I saw at least two applicants got their passport in about 20 business days from Whitby's office. Mine is Gatineau.

Just got off a call with Passport office after a wait of 1 hr 52 minutes (about 500 callers before me). The agent confirmed that my application is received and gave me the file number. She mentioned that there is a 6 to 8 week delay and given that my application was received on Mar 11, it is expected to be picked up for processing the week of May 6, then 2-3 weeks for receiving the passport.
I was not sure if I had attached my daughter's birth certificate and she confirmed that I had - they have all required documents.
Long wait ahead. She did give me the option of transferring to local office (who will need proof for faster processing) for $45 per application. `didnt take that option at this time but may call them back tomorrow for the same.

I don't think so. These are the people who announced their offices. No 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 didn't receive the PP yet (days counted up to date.). 12 is tentative date advised by PP office.

So basically it takes between 8-11 weeks to get the passport, and not 28 calendar days as they claim. That would have been OK had they advertised this on their website so we know. According to this, I shouldn't expect anything before April 20th. Bummer.
Maybe you are right. I mentioned I read two applicants who received their passport after around 20 business. I don't have all data points to make an educated and accurate estimate. By the way, some of the entries are off. For example, entries 11 and 12 are one day apart from each other, yet one is reported 23 business days and the other is 33, unless the latter is a typo.
Wait what? This is A) terrible, and B) not at all what the agent told me! My application was delivered March 2 and when I called last week (being worried about not getting any updates with my May 1st travel date), he reassured me that I will get the passports before then! So confusing!
When I asked about if there an estimate on my file, the agent just said call us again in 2-3 weeks. I don't think this means I will get the passport before May 1st. Maybe there is more information on your file that the agent used, but it might be the case he was trying to give promises based on nothing. Go to twitter on Passport Canada page and read the negative stories. It's a complete mess and breakdown of the system. Some files even missing and they don't know where they are!!
