Canadian new born (non accompanying child) . No identity card.

Hi,

I have a new born daughter and she does not have any identity document.
While filling up the forms after ITA, it is asking for the below questions.

Does the child have a passport or other travel document?

Do you have another government issued ID?

I answer "No" to both the questions but it says the form is incomplete.
I tried entering the birth certificate number but it says it is invalid.
Also the birth certificate does not have the end date.

Could you please let me know what shall I do in this case.

Here is what I recall on how I did mine.

Does the child have a passport or other travel document? No


Do you have another government issued ID? Yes

Then you have two options to select which ID. select the one which is not passport(can't really remember). Add the birth certificate number. It will not give you the error for not adding an end date.

The birth certificate has dashes ( - ) , the field do not accept dashes. Shall I remove the dashes and submit it?

yes, you have to remove the dashes.
