I am a Canadian living in Japan. I am sponsoring my wife and I have a question about how to mail the COMPLETE Application.

Since my wife does NOT have to send me her part of the application to Canada, should we put the Complete application in 1 envelope and send it all together? Or should we put her part in the specific size envelope CIC says to use, and send them together that way? Do they need to be separated?

Also Im wondering, If we attach any photos, or an additional piece of paper to answer a specific question, or a photo copy for a specific question, Do we need to attach a copy of the Document Checklist with the photocopy or the photos? And check off or put an X in the box of the part of the application we are answering? Or do we only send 1 copy of the document check list?

Thanks so much in advance for any help and your time to answer our questions.

Put everything (all 3 parts - Sponsor, Applicant and Country Specific forms) in 1 envelope, and send to CPC-Mississauga

You only need 1 copy of each checklist - the general checklist and the country specific checklist.

If you don't have enough room on the form to answer a question and need an additional page, simply label the page with the same form#, and clearly mark the question you are answering. Then you can include that extra page along with the original form.

For photos and other relationship proofs, these can all generally go in another section you can just label "relationship proofs/evidence" or something. So things like photos, letters, chats/emails, gifts, shared account, etc can all be bunched together. What I did, is created a cover letter itemizing each proof I was including.
