Hello,

My case is as follows :

1) I was born on 1968
2) my passed father was naturalized Canadian citizen on 1979
3) my father passed away on 2005

I want to know can I apply for citizenship certificate or PR ??

appreciate your kind help

Unfortunately you don't qualify for Canadian citizenship since your father obtained his citizenship after you were born.

If you want to apply for PR, you will use the same process as anyone else to qualify. Having a Canadian citizen father unfortunately gives you no benefits.

Thanks for your feedback, but i remember something now, my father registered us ( his children ) in Cairo embassy i am not sure maybe 1980 or 1981...is it can help me??

you don't give enough details.
was your dad naturalized after you were born?

If the OP's original post is accurate... OP's father became a Canadian citizen 11 years AFTER he was born. So no citizenship entitlement.

No - unfortunately it doesn't.

You would only be entitled to citizenship if your father became a Canadian citizen before you were born.
