Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help shed some light on this process for me. I’ve been researching and reading for weeks and the answers have been different.

I worked as a hostess in 2016 until 2018 in Vancouver on a working holiday visa. I am now back home, no longer in Canada.
I have skimmed through and noticed that there may be a chance to apply for a PR if you have worked in Canada for at least a year in the last 3 years.
I truly truly hope that this is possible even with a hostess role? I have a degree but it is unrelated.

Is it possible to apply for this under an unskilled job? I am getting nervous as the 3 year mark is nearing and I think this would be my last shot.
Absolutely any guide towards this would mean the world. All my fingers and toes are crossed.
Thank you.

If you wish to apply under Canadian Experience Class then experience gained as skilled employment counts. Did you look into your job duties in the job bank? If anything matches to job duties of titles under NOC 0, A, B you are in good spot or you may want to consider PNP.

CEC is only possible with skilled work experience.
