Hi Everyone,

I am currently on my PGWP. My Profile is:

  • B.Tech (Computer Science)
  • Work Experience in Marketing of 1 year
  • Post Graduate Diploma - Project Management (Humber College) - 8 Months
  • Graduated in April. Got full time job in May
  • Job Title - IT - Project Manager, Toronto
  • Bridging Period - May to July
  • PGWP - 1 Year (Aug 13 to Aug 14)
  • Wage - 15$/hr
  • NOC Category A - Code 0213

My questions:

1. As per workingincanada.gc.ca, the minimum wage for my title is 30$/hr and mine is way to low. Will this be a problem for my application??
2. What would be more beneficial for me CEC or moving to some other province as not much time is left?

Thanks!

Your wage is way too low and it might result in a rejected application. I remember reading about few cases where the application was rejected because the wage was lower than the market prevalent rate. Do a search on the forum and you shall find a few cases.

Thanks Sumeet!

I don't think CIC rejects an application simply because of wage. There must be other reasons for these rejected applications, mostly NOC code mismatch.

I think 30/hr is too much, specially if you are just starting out.

CEC would be more helpful program for you.
