I got my licensed from the province of Ontario as a paralegal, however when I updated my profile I got no points for this, can you say why?

Yes, because your job is not a trade, you do not qualify for those points.

CoQs are only for skilled trades... (electrician, plumber etc) - they usually do not earn points for university education, so they earn points for completing apprenticeships and earning the CoQ.

You are however in a regulated occupation, so you need the license for the work experience to count. If you get an ITA and are claiming work experience as a paralegal, include the license with your employment documents.
