i have been studying in alberta for 3 years 2 months on a study permit can i apply for citizenship now (when applying for permit i had to prove that i wont stay longer than study time but now i wanna live and work here and i guess having citizenship makes everything easier

No, you have to apply for permanent residence first. see: www.cic.gc.ca

You'll need a study permit until you actually become a permanent resident.
