Canadian certification required for java/dotnet developer?

I've 2 years of experience as a software developer and working for a well-reputed company. I've never been to Canada so don't know whether do I need any Canadian certification for getting a software job? Some people say companies ask for it. What's the trend there?

What are the Canadian certifications for Java or .Net. Aren't they owned and administrated by Oracle and Microsoft respectively. Certifications used to be valued at some point in past, but companies increasingly don't attach too much importance to them. What matters is the kind of experience and skills that you have.
