I applied for a Canada temporary work permit through a consultant from chandigarh. And he gave me IMM5739E document, where its mentioned that your submission is confirmed by Immigration refugee of Canada. Submitted my application on 22/03/18, i don't give any IELTS or medical yet, my lawyer said you don't require any medical and paid 255$ fees. Can please somebody help me regarding this, how long it takes?? Or do IELTS mandatory for temporary work permit ?

Yes, IELTS is mandatory. Check the processing time on the CIC website, for your country of residence. I'm guessing it's India. It'll take roughly 8 weeks. Check to be 100 percent sure though.

What work are you going to do there? If it's a professional work that requires you to communicate with people often, then you'll need it. (Professional jobs like teaching, doctor, nurse, engineer, QS, IT consultants etc)

As i am a fresher, so going there as a waiter in food and beverage department.
