Hi, My name is Mohit. Back then in 2015,i decided to move to Canada for higher studies, after my Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering. I was thinking to do either PGDP or Masters. I met various consultants regarding the same, but since i had a 2 year gap due to my backlogs in subject, my consulants said, Canada is not an option for me. I need to look for some other country. At that time i had only One year experience. Meanwhile I came to know about this Express entry program, started my preparations for the same, but only one year exp. my CRS was 378 points. Now, i was just planning to take up the general IELTS in April 2018 to improve ,my score, few of my friends and family members suggested, that I should go with higher studies, as by studying I will have a Canadian degree and a years time to settle in Canada, whereas by EE finding a job is difficult since i dont have a canadian degree and only in total 3 years exp. Now i am in dilemma, which route to choose. Should i go for studies PR to Canada. Plz suggest. Thanks

Others can comment but given your low score unless you can significantly improve for EE seems that a study permit followed by a PGWP could be the option to follow assuming you have the finances to support, 15000-18000 cdn per year fees and approx 10000 cdn living.

Whichever option you will need IELTS in any case so should get that out of the way if you are serious about either option whether to improve your EE score or apply for a study permit, maybe for the September intake.

And yes finding work in Canada can be hard without the advantage of Canadian experience , but nobody will say immigration is easy whichever country someone chooses.
