Canada Start-up Visa VS Illegal stay in US

Hello guys.

I didn't find anything related to my question, so if you could answer me, any help will be appreciated. ;D

I'm in US on my tourist visa (B2), I'll try to apply for an extension visa, so I can stay for more 6 months (1 year total with my current visa), but there's one problem, if the US deny my extension visa, I become immediately illegal and I need to get out of the country, so I saw in some forums. My questions are: in that case, will I have problems when I try to apply for a Canadian Start-up Visa? Will the Canadian Immigration find that I stayed illegal in US and will they understand what happened?

Yes canada will know. How - they will ask you on application, have you ever stayed illegaly.
If your reply is Yes, then you need to explain.
If you answer No (even though the correct answer is No) you will be falsifying information which is not really appreciated in immigration applications creating red flags on your application.
The only way they undestand if there is a valid reason with valid explanation.
