Canada resident permit application taking too long.

Hello,my name is Oludolapo Ayeyemi. I submitted a resident permit application since September 12,2014 through a consultant in Canada and up till now,i havent gotten a response from CIC. MY Consultant too are saying no response yet received from CIC. What do i do? thank you.
