Hi,
I have PR in Canada and live in BC, and on a New Zealand Passport. My partner(common law) lives in Seattle, WA with a USA passport/NEXUS.
We would like to get a house together on the Canada side of the border and she would commute to Seattle for work.
How would this work?
Do I need to sponsor her, and would that allow her to also work in Canada or require to apply for work permit after being sponsored?
Could she live in Canada with me as a visitor and cross daily?
What if she wants to work from home sometimes in Canada?(i know she cant do that as visitor but could she if sponsored?)

Thanks so much in advanced.

You will need to sponsor her for PR for her to live in Canada. Expect that of she is living in Canada and crossing daily before she gets her PR she is likely to stopped one day and be questionned whether she is living in Canada as a visitor. She isn't allowed to do this. After PR she could cross daily if covid 19 border rules have changed.
