Hello,
I am planning on sending my application through Canada Post either Priority or xpresspost. I am just not sure which address to use as I dont know if this service is considered mail or courier . Do I use

1. Case Processing Centre – Sydney
Grant Adults
P.O. Box 7000
SYDNEY, NS
B1P 6V6

or

2. Case Processing Centre, Sydney
Grant Adults
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, Nova Scotia

Thanks.

The courier one. Someone has to sign on it. :)

Canada post is unreliable service. I watsed money for this before.

Use Fedex is better because you know exactly when your document will arrive.

Ok. I sent in my application a couple of days ago through Canadapost Xpresspost and i sent it to the PO BOx address. Are you saying i sent it to the wrong destination? :o :o :o

Not necessarily, The advantage of sending to the Courier address is that someone signs for it and so there is a record that it has been received by CIC. When its sent to a Post box there is no proof of that. Most courier companies do not deliver to a Post Box but since its Canada Post they probably do.
You would have the tracking number, so track it and do an update here as to what actually happened in your case. Would be good reference info for future applicants

Actually i just checked with a friend of mine who did the same thing and his application is in process right now. He too had tracking and delivery confirmation services.

so i am little relieved now. but then, i will keep my eyes open until this damn thing is delivered. ??? ??? ???

Even I did the same... sent through Canada Post to PO BOX address and it got delivered so do not worry

Don't worry. It will reach CIC. You will just have to wait longer for the conformation of delivery, I guess. No one can sign on your package in the PO Box location.

Another thread. Similar discussion.

Ok. My package has been delivered this morning successfully though i am waiting to view the online signature which apparently according to Canada post would take 24 hrs to be uploaded

Thanks again everyone :)

From what I understand, "courier" means an actual courier service. Canada Post is not a courier service. I sent via xpresspost to the P.O. Box and it was delivered successfully and I got a signature too.

I used Xpresspost and the courier address. My package was delivered without problems. The courier address is for any deliveries with signatures. If you mail it to PO BOX, the mailman has to find somebody to sign on it.
