Canada Open Work Permit

Hi All,

I am very new here.
I am a British Citizen and i want to relocate to Canada, hence want to apply for the Open Work Permit but i am struggling with the following questions and i need your help/advise please -

1. Is it a must to secure a job in Canada first before applying for the Open Work Permit ?
2. Which Form do i need to complete for Open Work Permit ? (I cannot find Open Work Permit form on Canada website)
3. The requirement for Open Work Permit in general

If you are not being sponsored to come as a spouse or a common law partner I would suggest you Google working holiday visa for Canada, if you are between 18-30 years old. That would be your best option.

Thanks for your response.

I have no spouse to sponsor me in Canada. I live in UK with wife and our baby. My plan is to relocate to Canada with my family and most people are telling me that i can relocate without securing a job first.

Is there any other way to relocate with family without securing a job first ?

In that case, why don't you ask around at the Skilled Worker/Professional Immigration or Provincial Nomination Program Immigration sections of this forum?

This section is for family class sponsorship only, so unless you have a Canadian spouse or partner, people here are not going to have any tips or advice.

In any case, I don't think the Open Work Permit would apply to you.
