Hi Everyone,

Request all of you to reply for my queries enlisted below to the best of their Knowledge with some patience to get things clarified and push each one of us forward to proceed further to their Goal :

First of all, I would like to appreciate each one of you for the hard work you are are doing by giving proper Counselling and Guidance . Kudos to you !!

Profile :

10th --> 87 %

12th --> 83 %

B.Tech In Electronics and Communication with 74 % - 2010 passout

Work Exp in IT Industry - TCS for more than 2+ Years with Quality Assurance Profile ( SAP Testing )

I am interested in next year intake i.e. Fall 2013 either 2 year PG Diploma from Community Colleges OR Masters from reputed and Low Budget Universities ( Scholarship preferred as I am having financial Constraints as well ). Of course, PR thing is in my mind as well

Queries:

1> Deadline for Sep'13 Intake for most of the Colleges and universities

2> Should I go for 2 year PG Diploma or masters in IT related streams. Universities though expensive than colleges but I have heard that Visa approval chance are high in Univ and getting a Skilled Job ( NOC O, A, B ) once you complete masters which will be surely helpful for PR

3> Please suggest some IT related courses as per my profile OR IT Courses for masters with Universities name

4> I also came to know that SBI hesitate in sanctioning Loan for PG Diploma Courses and I checked that they usually adhere to the specific list of universities to which they grant loan only.

5> If I go for 2 year of PG Diploma, Should I go for IT related courses ( which my current Profile is ) or switch my profile to Business side coz i know that VO might raise eyebrows over the study mismatch, if I Opt Business related courses like Global Business management, International mngt etc. but the other way around is- I get the Visa for IT Course and then Switch to some other same level of course like Business one , once i land there.

6> What are your views over the feasibility of just 1 year of PG Diploma Courses. Initially I though about it but now I am not sure if PR thing is in mind that whether 1 year of PG Courses would be helpful for me or not.

7> Please share some good SOP/LOR if you can along with some IELTS Study materials on ID mayank.tech6 @ gmail.com

8> If I opt for Universities then what are the ways to ensure Scholarship and the procedure and deadline for the same. Is Financial assistance possible from colleges too ???

Guys, Do not just go through the above points but also come up with the solutions as per your understanding. Some points which you are not confident at, you can Skip that query but try to provide your inputs which will be helpful for many including me ;)

and Yes ! Special Request to Enfield / Tiger and existing Champions in this forum

Hi...

1. Most of the colleges/ universities maintain a tight deadline (For fall - Mid July) for international students.

2. You heard it correct, PR chances are higher for university masters graduates as it will give you more options.

3. If you want a career in Software industries, try for a master degree in software engineering. Search for relevant courses from the websites of "Participating Institutes" as those are accredited by CIC. List of such institutes can be found here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp

4. I am not well concerned of it, skipping.

5. You can apply for business courses too if you think that would create new opportunities in your career. The Visa officer may be hesitant about the irrelevancy of the course with your background, but you can write a good study plan explaining how your course will add values with your present profile and help you to achieve your desired career goal.

6. You will need to qualify for Post graduate work permit (PGWP) to proceed with your PR after completing your studies. A 1 year PG course will not allow you to get a PGWP more than 1 year. With such a short-term work permit and experience it will be a bit harder for PR. Canadian experience class would be a better choice, but very limited possibility with 1 year experience. Have a look at CIC website with canadian experience class requirements. PNP can be an option with 1 year PG course. But you have to be real selective choosing your course for PNP. Moreover, Nomination in some provinces are real tough to gain.

7. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/sample-study-plan-in-marketing-t78700.0.html scroll down to the last comment of wasishah.

8. Try to secure a very good score in GMAT/ GRE and IELTS. There are funding offered by many institutes. You should check university/ college's requirements and application procedure for scholarships in their respective websites. Try to google with university/ college names, browse their websites, there will be a section for fees/ scholarships/ funding.

Good luck!
