Hi Guys,

I need your advice on my situation. I have a work permit valid till January 2016. I currently also have a CSQ and an offer of employment from another employer. I wish to change my work permit to my new employer and was infomed that I could do that directly at the port of entry. When I checked online I see there is an option called flagpoling where a person can cross border to US and get his new work permit. However I do not have a US visa in order to do that. Is anyone aware of the options I could take in order to get my new work permit at the port of entry?

P.S. I have an Indian passport.

Thank you so much for your help :)

Flagpoling doesn't require US visa - you exit Canada, tell at the US border you have no intention of entering US, they give you a confirmation you've been at the border and you drive back & enter Canada.

If you're sure the documents you have guarantee you'll get a new work permit then I see no reason not to do it.
