Hi all,

This is my first post on this forum. I have a question about CCB eligibility.
I know all it's about residency, but I'm so confused by its definition.

Here is my situation:
Me: Came with 3-year work permit in June 2018. (intra company transfer)
My wife and kids: came in Sep. 2018 with OWP and visitor records.

My question is, when calculating 18 month CCB eligibility, am I eligible in Dec. 2019 or Mar. 2020?

Any comment will be appreciated.

you really should talk to an accountant about this. but for us it was 18 months since the day we first entered Canada, so I would say it is December 2019 for you.

yes, we came to Canada with different status. my wife had a study permit, my daughter and I were on TRV. but still, the counting started on the same day.

1. IMHO, it will be 18 months after the child arrived in Canada.
