Hi dear friends,

I met a problem when i applied the child benefit from the Canada Revenue Agency.

I came to Quebec city on Dec. 26th, 2014, and gave birth on Dec. 22nd, 2015. I applied the Child Benefit by filling some files in hospital. , Last month, I received the reply from CRA, and they told me my situation has not met the residential required of 18 months. (On the June 26th, 2016, i lived in quebec city for 18 month.)

Problem: What can i do in my situation? apply for another time? how can i apply? I see my online account in the website of CRA, and the application information is exhibited and i can not operated online.
I called the CRA but it is always busy. :( :( :'(

Are you eligible?
...
"a temporary resident (as defined in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act) who has lived in Canada throughout the previous 18 months, and who has a valid permit in the 19th month other than one that states "does not confer status" or "does not confer temporary resident status." If this is your situation, do not apply before the 19th month."

You were not eligible when you applied. You appear to be eligible now, so re-apply.
