Can you travel and quarantine in another province besides the one your school is in?

Hi guys,

My school is in newfoundland and I am planning to travel to Canada soon but I was wondering is it possible right now to stay and quarantine in another province since the classes are online? I wanted to stay with my family in Alberta but I wasn't sure if I would be allowed in since my school is not in Alberta. Appreciate your replies.

Yes. As long as you have an acceptable quarantine plan. If you plan on going to NFLD, you will need to quarantine again.

So in effect currently you will need to quarantine for 14 days on arrival in Alberta and then another 14 days when you arrive in Newfoundland from Alberta so maybe not such a good plan with the current restrictions

If you plan on remaining in Alberta you also may not qualify for health coverage.

Your family also needs a separate area for you to quarantine like a basement.
