Can you have multiple visas at the same time

Hi everyone,

Can you have lets say a student visa and OWP visa at the same time.
Or they have to be subsequent.

The issue is that I want to avoid (illegal stay) and worried that te OWP with the sponsorship application takes more than 4 months, then my student visa will expire.

Is it wise to make a vistor visa to avoid illegal stay? worried that implied status will not be give, just in case a missing document is found or something like that.

No you cannot have multiple visas at same time. If you are currently on a student visa and then gotten your OWP, your student visa becomes void. You cannot continue your education studies. You would have to cease studying immediately after getting your OWP as OWP does not allow you to study in Canada. You would only legally able to work from the point you get your OWP approved.
