What guys are saying sounds correct. I thought you meant after using your single entry visa. In your case seen as you are already in canada, when you leave, you use your single entry visa to enter canada again. Plus you are saying you will have a work visa? That alone should get you into canada without issues

Man single entry visa is for Canada not Mexico u dont use up visa if u leave the country. Single entry visa means single entry to Canada. All of us have to leave Canada and come back in after u get CoPR that process is called landing. let me simplify this for u
1. u get PPR(passport request)
2. u send in ur passport and they will put a single entry visa on ur passport and give u a CoPR letter.
3. u leave Canada and when u come back again u use up ur single entry Visa and sign ur CoPR this is the landing process. This is the process for all
4. once u do landing process u cannot leave unless u get PR card in mail
I think his work visa will be cancelled when issuing CoPR. But still he will not have any issues travelling back to canada since he has single entry immigrant visa.

I have visa to Mexico, but as far as i know, COPR and one time single entry visa is not enough to board a commercial flight from Mexico back to Canada. The flight crew would ask for a Permanent Resident Travel Visa or the PR card. and i won't have them both in three weeks. Correct me if I am wrong.

The single entry visa is all you need to travel on a commercial flight/train/ship from any country to Canada. If you decide to drive in a private vehicle, and the single entry visa is valid, they will let you in on the basis of that visa.
When you land in Canada for the first time, the CBSA official will cancel your single entry visa and let you in. If you subsequently leave the country, you cannot come back in on a commercial carrier without your PR card or a PRTD. However, you can cross a land border in a private vehicle with your COPR and passport. Since you are a legal permanent resident, CBSA will verify that and let you in - they may even let you in on the basis of your passport (they can look it up in their database) but it's easier to prove it with the COPR so it's a good idea to carry that with you.
A commercial carrier will not allow you to travel without a PR card or a PRTD.
Hi, I'm in the same situation that you, I got PPR, I'm in Canada and I would like to travel to Mexico but I'm afraid that my work permit might become invalid to board a plane in Mexico once I receive my COPR and before doing my landing ( the airlines in Mexico are really strict when it comes to this kind of documents )did you manage to travel ? I had my work visa, work permit and COPR with already landed status.
I was flying from China and I got on plane with work visa. Once I landed in Vancouver, I handed my passport and COPR.
The officer asked if I have PRTD. But i said that I thought my work visa was still valid.
She said to wait a minute and went to talk to her associate.
She came back and said all good. Put stamp and let me in.
So if you have work visa which helps you to get on plane and COPR to prove your status, then you good to go
