I was asked to supply police certificates as well as court documents containing the final disposition of a misdemeanor from 15 years ago. I have retrieved these and live very close to Buffalo. Is it possible to personally drop these documents off to their office?

I'm concerned that the Bring Forward date is several months from now and wondered if I drop them off in-person, is there any chance that they may modify the bring forward date on the application?

If I have to mail the paperwork in, is there any way to request the Bring Forward date moved up?

They won't move up the BF date - even if you drop off the info at the Consulate - unless they have no other cases to look at. And these days it seems that Buffalo is pretty busy. I found that even while they were reprocessing my application after an allowed appeal (which is supposed to be priority processing), they still assigned a 90 day BF date when requesting re-meds and a new FBI clearance.

And I wouldn't recommend dropping off such important info - send it by courier and get it tracked and delivery signed for so you have proof it was received. Unfortunately, you'll have to accept the fact that having to request additional information - especially about a misdemeanor criminal offence (which was exactly what they were looking for on my son's arrest) - will significantly delay your processing. Basically, that was a given - even if you had submitted the final disposition, etc., when you first submitted the ap. BF date or no - you will probably have to accept a long wait. My best advice: don't push them. They get really testy when you push - especially if you're already at a disadvantage.
