Hi everyone. The reason I'm asking for this is because I'm gonna apply for express entry soon and my relationship with my brother is not good at all. I know he lives in Canada and has PR but for whatever reasons I can't ask/won"t give his documents for me to receive points due to sibling with PR. Can you choose NOT to receive points from canadian sibling as I can't provide the proper documents? What do I answer to "Do you have any brother or sister living in Canada with citizenship or PR?

If anyone has gone through this or has a solution/suggestions please let me know.

Answering no could be taken as misrepresentation. So alternative is to answer yes, and while submitting documents you write an LOE that you don't wish to claim these points, and that your crs score is still above the cutoff despite not claiming the sibling points.

But the system would have automatically allocated 15 points to you, so make sure that your crs score is above the cut off of your draw even after the 15 points are subtracted.

Very helpful information, thank you!

Hi,

I am in a similar situation but instead of a sibling, I have an uncle there.

Should I say yes or can I just no?

Thanks
