I have applied for the PR in March 2010 and have sent the full documents to CHC Delhi on Sept 2010. As of now, the status is showing as IN PROCESS without any dates in it. In Nov 2010, I have changed my company and my new company has filed a work permit for Canada. I have applied under NOC 4131 for PR by attaching the required document of exp and same exp is not shown in WP while applied as teaching is not considered as exp in IT. now my WP processing is taking a bit more time. Will this create any problem for WP processing or PR processing? Kindly suggest.

They are separate processes, not even processed in the same office. If they were to cross check both applications, your only problem would be if you wrote completely different experiences on each, for example you were a teacher on one of them doing a full time job and on the other you had a full time job doing something else. If that is the case, they might question if you are lying about one of them and which one.

I had a n exp of 1.5 years under NOC 4131. After that I joined one IT company as a fresher. So the teaching exp not counted. When i applied for PR, I have shown all the current exp in IT field along with the NOC 4131 exp. In the work permit, I have skipped the exp part of NOC 4131 and rest of all the other documents and information are exactly the same. Will this have any problem?

No, just means that your work experience for FSW is more detailed than for work permit and you left some things out that were further in the past. I don't see any problem with that.

You should be alright with your WP application along with the FSW application if there is no misrepresentation.

Not Showing 4131 exp in WP application is not a problem

Thanks a lot Leon. As per the new list, the NOC 4131 is totally removed from the list and for the last 7 years I'm purely into the IT field. The exp as computer instrcutor as before I join the IT company. That is why I was tensed if there would be any problem if i do not show the exp of computer instructor in WP and showing the same details in PR. As i mentioned, I have sent all the docs to CHC with regard to the company change too. As of now all the documents are correct and accurate in both the application except the computer instructor exp. thanks a lot for your quick reply.

So acording to this, I can apply for a work permit from outside Canada while PR process as a Skilled worker is on its way?, I lived in Canada for three years and company wants me back ASP, it´s been almost four months since I sumitted my full documents to the visa office and no answer yet, and i was wondering if i could start the other process to go back sooner with my family included. Please advice.

By the way, I was a Refugee Claimant whike in Canada but got rejected, I was legal though, will this affect that??

The chances are somewhere between slim and none (and slim has left town) that you will get a work permit after making a refugee claim in Canada. You have demonstrated that it is your intention to remain permanently in Canada, not temporarily as TFW.

Ok thanks for your advice, i will let the other process continue.

would that mean that processing for PR is independant with that of application for work permit extension?

thanks.

Hello Experts,

I have submitted my EE profile 10 days back, now my Back home employer want me to apply for WORK PERMIT for Canada.

I am curious to understand and wanted to know -

1 - Is there any issue with applying WORK PERMIT when my EE profile has been with CIC (still no AOR generated).
2. Is there any issue with applying WORK PERMIT if my EE profile selected for PR BEFORE WP application submitted to vfs.
3. Is there any issue with applying WORK PERMIT if my EE profile selected for PR AFTER WP application submitted to vfs.

Is there any conflicts between getting PR as well as WORK PERMIT.

IS IT mandatory to put Canadian exp. in WORKPERMIT if I am applying WP outside Canada.
