Can Wife apply through express entry on her own ?

Hi Friends ,

I am a permanent resident of Canada and got recently married . My wife has 450+ points in express entry system . Can she apply through express entry or should I sponsor her ?

IF she has 450+ points in Express entry, why waste time sponsoring her? The usual cutoff has been around 430~440, she will be called immediatly to PR. To Sponsor someone takes up to 10~12 months, not worth it. (plus, she will get extra points for having someone already in Canada)

I agree. She has a high enough CRS score - try express entry first; family sponsorship takes longer and, if I remember correctly, also has a higher "proof of funds" requirement...

I would assume she would just complete her own profile and file as a single applicant...
