Can we re-use work permit application medical for PR application

Hi All,
I have applied under the CEC category in December. I got the AOR in February. At that time, my wife was in India. Then I applied a open work permit for my wife in March and she got approved. She has to go through the medical for her work permit application in around first week of March 2014. As I know, medical report is usually valid for one year. Can I re-use the same UMI report for her to my CEC PR application?

P.S.
I am still waiting for the MR.

Please suggest.

I was in a similar boat. My better half did not get her MR. I did email CIC asking if she did not get it since it was valid for 1 year. No response. If you do hear back let me know.

I read your thread "Spouse Medical". Looks like you will hear back first. Please let me know your experience. For me this forum is the only way to know.
 
Any input guys on the initial question in this thread?
 
If you are waiting for cic to send you request, then technically they should only send you your MR request. If they send both then get your wifes done as well.

If it were me, I would wait for CPC to ask you for the medicals. If you don't see your spouse's medical request, then you got your answer :)

If you do get the MR request, you can email them about using your spouse's older medicals, that are typically valid for 12 months.
 
Updated - asked the doctor where i did my MR to see if my spouse's MR request was available. The doctor said that she could find my spouse however the file was "locked" meaning other docotor was working on it or CIC already had the results.

Will let you know when I recieve my next communication from CIC. I did email them a while back, but never got a reply from them. In the mean time the ECAS status changed to "Medical recieved.."
