Can we get PCC before it is being requested?

Dear Members,
I received an ITA on 18th Dec. I have PCC from police commissioner office, but looking to the rejection of some files based on PCC, I was thinking of applying for PCC from Passport office also. Can we apply for PCC without being asked for the same as there is no such request in the ITA itself.

PCC would be required beforehand at the time of application for the PR. Getting PCC from passport office is very convenient - if your address is same as that in the passport then they will give you the same on the same day itself, else there would be a police enquiry at the new address. I got mine from the passport office only.

It's highly recommended you upload as required documents like pcc at submission, otherwise, your application would be rejected in the course of the application completion assessment (usually between 2 to 10days). If CIC demands pcc from passport office for your country, then such must be uploaded at application submission.
