Can we get a Police Clearance Certificate beforehand?

Hi,

I may be relocating for work purposes to outside of India and I suspect that my invite may arrive when I am out of India.

Can I process and get my Police Clearance Certificate already, before even creating a profile?
So that I don't have to come back to India to get it done?
(I know I can go to Indian Consulate in any country, but I don't know how long it takes)

Is there a clause which says the PCC should only be x days older?

PCC is valid till you visit India again. But you can get PCC from consulate in any country and it takes maximum 10 days.

you asked how long it takes i answered that and answered your question that yes you can take PCC but it will be valid till you visit India again.

No, you will have to obtain it after leaving the country in this case. Only if you are currently living in the country as of the application date, then you can use one issued in the past 6 months.
