can we check if the lmo has been applied by using the name or passport number

hello everyone
i have applied for an lmo for my friend through an agent ,,i asked him if he has anyy file number to show that he applied.
he saya that we cant check the application status,,i really dont know whether he has applied or not,,i ve paid some money to him..
now can i check if the lmo has been applied or not by using my friends name or passport number?
if i know that he has not applied i can ask my money back and try somewhere else

You can probably kiss your money good bye. Since only the employer can apply for a LMO.
