can we change no. of yrs of study in final application

I mentioned 10 years of education of my wife in my initial application.Now when we see the date on metric certificate, its day and month are different, although year is same.
My quetion is that can we write "9 years of education" instead of "10 years", in the final application ,so that we may not have to present the metric certificate(10 years education certificate)

Take it updated documents and include one cover letter with explanation for change and reason why previously you had mistake, i hope it will work.

Dear zahir

Many of us have done mistakes in the application form, like marriage date, birth date etc. These can also be corrected if convincing answers is provided.

You have to expalin the reason behind your mistake to convince them. If the explanation is not convincing they may decide anything - either refuse it or make the process delay. But do not worry expalin in details in your cover letter. I hope they will be convinced.
