Can we apply for new visitor visa while its in "processing submission" status ?

I have applied for the Canadian visitor visa and uploaded all documents.

After clicking submit, I refreshed the tab and it says "Processing Submission".

My credit card has been charged with $100 Canadian dollars but the status is the same - "Processing Submission" for the last 1 week.

Normally for submission it takes 1 day but you will get a application number. Here the case if different.

I assume that the system is struck and still thinking the payment is not in process which it is.

I am thinking to cancel the transaction and then create new GC Key and upload the documents - Starting from the scratch ?

Do anyone have any suggestions that I need to do next ? :'(

If I remember correctly myCIC uses your passport number as a validation key, so only one account per passport number.

GIve them a call to see what's going on.

Hi Jalex,

Thanks for the response. :)

I tried calling all numbers but no response from anyone. Do you have any other number apart from 888-242-2100 or 617-247-5100 ?

Also I have sent a mail to embassy office too but the auto reply says it will take some more time.

Any suggestions...

No idea about numbers. Look for the ones in the cic website.

Wait for embassy answer.

Hi Jalex,

Finally I got hold of them yesterday on phone 613-944-4000 and they mentioned there is a problem with the online application.

They asked me to contact the Question@cic.gc.ca and explain the situation. If anyone face this issue, please send the email to this address with the below details :

* Surname (last name) – Exactly as it appears on the passport or identity document;
* Given name(s) (first name) – Exactly as it appears on the passport or identity document;
* Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD);
* Country of birth;
* Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number / Client ID number;
* Online application reference number;
* Type of application (work permit, study permit or visitor record,etc);
* Approximate date that the application was submitted.

I have sent the information and waiting for their reply. Is there any other way to speed up the process ?

Nice to hear you finally got an answer.

You can always request urgent processing. For this you will need evidence of the emergency.

Unfortunately system errors do not qualify in any extent for urgent processing.

Hi, I've encountered the same problem on Jan 21st. I've sent an email to them about the technical issue, but haven't got anything back yet. Have you got any feedback/solutions yet?

Thanks,
Yuan

Yesterday I have applied for my father TRV online but unfortunately I forget to upload my Salary Certificate issued by my employer. Therefore I need your advice urgently.

@yxuel12 - Not yet. I am still waiting for them to contact me. ???

@ baba1234 - I think you might need to wait for the visa officer's reply. Don't worry, if they need any additional document they will ask for it and that is what my attorney told me. Just wait for their reply and check on the status of the application. If you check on the Application/profile details, they will intimate you regarding the documents they require.

Hi, everyone, finally I was able to pay the visa fee and got the confirmation letter, it costed me the whole week! Well, I've sent emails to the technical support but haven't gotten a reply, and I don't believe my success could be ascribed to their help, since now is Saturday. I encountered this problem on last Saturday, and my account was locked for exactly one week. For those who have the same problem, I think it will be solved automatically in a week, during which you can do nothing but wait patiently. Good luck!

Hi Rechkov,

What you are saying is true....After a week the system unlocked my account automatically and I was able to reedit the post.

Now I need to send another mail to them to refund me the amount.

Hi jacob777.
I also encounter the same problem as you.
I have payed the application fee through VISA.
Only a transcation record is shown and I print that.
However the status is still `Processing submission`.
I want to ask you that, did the CIC refund your first payment?
