Hi Friends,

Could someone please help out with a query. I had resigned from current organization after getting PR. I mentioned the same as the reason for resignation. Since then they are trying to retain me and mentioned they will try if they can transfer me to their Canada office. Having said this they asked my PR copy, saying the immigration department wants to check if there will be any immigration issues if they transfer me. My question is with my uci number etc can they reach to ircc and get my information. Do ircc share the details to the companies?

TIA

I personally wouldn't share your UCI number with them. There is no need for them to have this information.

Ok..I am also not sure why they need this info.

There is no reason why they would need it. You shouldn't share this information with them.

If you work for big multinational company, there is no reason not to share PR card to them for transfer purposes. How can they check on your transfer possibility without knowing about your valid work authorization? Even if you search for a new job, you'd have provide PR card to that company anyways.

If they are going to check and see if they can employ you, then they could do so only with your PR card. They cannot do and won't do anything with your uci number or anything.

Ok, thank you for the response. In fact they had asked for my PR card details, but since I did a soft landing and was not having my PR card I had only option to share my CoPR copy. In the copy the UCI number, application number etc are mentioned.
