I'm just a little curious because when I went to see my husband last, the officer didn't ask much at all. I said I was visiting my husband and then he asked what I do and he stamped my passport. I thought he would ask more than that.
Can the immigration officers (at the border) see the status on applications?

Once you are entered into the system.... after sponsorship approval... yes they can see, not everything, somethings are kept private but yes they will know you have an application in process.

Believe me... you will know when they see it and if you get one with the god complex watch out.... if you just filed then you are not in the system yet... once your husband gets the letter saying he is approved to sponsor you (approx. 70 days from when your application was received) then they will see it. Once that happens you should have other things as well not just the receipts, lease, pay stubs, bank statements you get one who doesn't like the way you look and they can be butt-holes. I got one one time she denied me entry and gave me a list with about 15 items I had to bring in order to enter, after I got everything together I went back and was sent into immigration cus she red-flagged my passport when I got inside the guy couldn't believe all the stuff she wanted me to bring he made a comment that she had went overboard and I replied I think it was her time of the month and every IO in the place busted out laughing needless to say he let me in but he could do nothing to remove the red-flag, I have 2 others but they are another story LOL anyways GL!
