Hi Guys,

Quick question.

Can the applicant leave Canada immediately after applying and come back after 3 weeks of vacation?

Will it cause any impact during the test interview?

The applicant can leave Canada for 3 weeks vacation. After all you are on vacation and your primary residence is still in Canada. Applicant must inform CIC if applicant will be outside Canada for longer than 2 weeks so that CIC can take into consideration your vacation plans when issuing test or oath appointments.

Leaving for a vacation should have no impact. Just don't make any job or housing inquiries while away....

Yes.

You have obligations towards the duration of your stay in Canada up until you file your application. Kinda stupid but that is the way that the legislation was put in place.

After that just make sure that you don't miss the invitation letters for the exam and oath. You can travel and do whatever you like (within the law of course). Don't count on eCas being updated because it is not always updated i.e mine was but my friend's wasn't and she received status updates only through Canada Post with eCas showing "in progress" up until her oath.
