can student and spouse travel together in student visa

Hi there,

I am from India, I just got married and now me and my wife are planning to settle in Canada.

My wife has Bachelors degree in Accounting and got 3 years of work experience.

I have a MBA, and i have 4.5 years of experince in financial services.

I want to know few things before we apply for canada:

1. Which study/course is best for my wife which can help in settling in canada.
2. What are my chances on getting spouse visa along with my wife? When should I apply?
3. Can i get work permit as well?
4. How long can i work in canada?
5. How to get job in Canada?

If she intends to apply to a Canadian University, she will have a better chance of getting a study permit if the course she applies to is relevant to her undergraduate degree and/or work experience. If your wife gets a study permit, you will be eligible to apply for a spousal open work permit. It's not guaranteed that it will be approved, if it's approved, It will probably be valid for the same duration with your wife's permit or less. After your wife graduates, she will be eligible to apply for post-graduation work permit, if its approved then you will be eligible to apply for an open work permit.
