Can spouse on EI negatively impact my Work Permit Extension application?

Hey everyone! So I'm on a work permit working in software development here in Canada, and I've just applied for an extension of my permit.
My wife's on an Open Permit that's tied to my permit.

She's working as a cook at a casino, but it's been closed since the start of the pandemic, so she was on CERB and now she's on EI.
She's begun to feel very guilty and worried that being on EI might affect our application for the work permit extension and wants to stop receiving it. I don't think there's any relation, but some confirmation would be good to calm her down. I myself have started worrying a bit.

I tried googling but found no information if a spouse being on EI can have any impact on the WP extension application. Does anyone know anything about this?

It shouldn't affect anything as EI is an insurance and something that she's paid into to be able to access during times of unemployment.
