Can someone pls guide me about step by step process of PR to Canada from India

Would be grateful if someone can please tell me the step by step process for PR to Canada from India. Do I need to hire a consultant or can apply myself ? Do any of you have have experience of dealing with a reliable consultant in Jaipur ?
