For the application form IMM 1344 E: ELIGIBILITY TO SPONSOR it says that once you answer yes for questions 5 to 13 you are not eligible to sponsor.

My question is in no.9 ( HAVE YOU BEEN ORDERED TO LEAVE CANADA?). My answer here will be yes. Does it means that I can't sponsor my husband?

Can I attached a support answer for this question? Well, the story behind this is, in year 2002 I was visitor here in Canada and I applied for visitor's visa renewal application in 2003 requesting for an extension. I left Canada as soon as I received the letter advising me that my visitor's visa didn't get renewed. And for all the previous application forms I always write this one down.

In the first place they won't give me residency here if there's any issue with that isn't it?

thanks in advance.

i guess it depends on the reason WHY ur visitor's visa was not extended back then. if u didnt do any crimes or anything bad, or overstayed and so on. i dont think it should be a problem. u should call them and find out for sure.

I doubt very much that you were "ordered" to leave Canada. CIC means by ordered, that you were issued a departure/exclusion or deportation order. Which you probably weren't so you were asked to leave and you did.

Exactly. Your temporary status extension denial years ago - before you were a PR - has nothing to do with your eligibility to sponsor your spouse now. The only thing I can imagine this would apply to would be a PR who has defied an order to leave Canada - permanent residents can be ordered to leave if found to have misrepresented themselves in application or for having committed certain crimes in Canada after receiving PR.
