It's just a glitch in the ECAS system. Happens all the time. There must be a hundred threads on this forum over the past few years with people freaking out over the same thing. Don't worry. It will be fine.

Mine said the same thing "null" and then the word " received applications on ....." replaced that. So not to worry ;)

NULL in computer systems means "empty entry". So, what it means is that someone didn't enter your information into e-cas correctly. It does not represent an issue with your immigration application, it represents yet another example of how totally useless e-cas is (well, other than keeping applicants from inquiring to the visa office, of course.)

You should order a copy of your CAIPS/GCMS notes. If you are not in Canada (which is free) or do not have someone in Canada who can order them for you (which is $5) you can hire a commercial service to order them on your behalf (and they will even interpret them for you if you'd like.) You can find this on the CIC website by searching for the keyword "privacy". Currently the information page is at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/index.asp and the forms to download are along the right hand column.

It's always a good idea to order your case notes throughout the process of completing your application - it tells you what the visa office has done and is doing and any issues/concerns they might have.

Good luck!

Is your last name Singh or Kaur by any chance? Or your husbands?

My spouse is n Delhi and is negi- I just saw this status in ecas after this long wait - dont know if it's good or bad. Does any one know

It means they've made a decision. That in and of itself means you won't have to wait much longer, which should be a relief.

However, it seems likely you will have to wait until you either receive a letter and/or e-mail. If you still haven't heard by the end of March, send an inquiry.
