Can some one please explain IP1 and IP2?

Hi,

I am confused regarding the two statuses in back ground check.

First of all....What is checked during IP1? and What is checked during IP2?

Plus what is the sequence?

1. NA > the next step is to conduct BGC(i.e. In Progress) > NA > In Progress > PPR

or

1. NA > the next step is to conduct BGC > NA > In Progress > NA > In Progress > PPR

Please clarify my queries.

NA
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check. IP1
NA
When it changes again, its IP2

What BGC stands for?
Also I just wanted to ask something. I applied under Canadian Experience Class, I submitted my application on May 22nd and when I look at my status nothing really changed except for "uploaded additional documents". How long do people usually wait for some changes?

Background check. But this info is incorrect, CIC changes wording of BGC all the time!
You are CEC so there should be some change already. Medical still not passed? You sent additional docs? Then this might be the reason fro the delay, they are waiting documents to be attached to the application.

No, medical still didn't change. I did submit a FBI check through Case Specific Inquiry because it was delayed.

Did you request GCMS notes before Status changed to "we need more documents"? And what's your timeline?
