Hello,

I'm a Registered Nurse currently in the UK. I'm Nov 2019 AOR AINP via express entry. Our application is all valid, but nothing issued.

I have a Registered Nursing position to go to, my employer didn't do an LMIA because we figured they wouldn't need to because I didn't need the job offer points anyway and i'm going to be PR.

Anyway, they can't wait much longer for me to arrive, i'd be working in a community clinic on a reservation, so helping in an area of need. Is there anyway I can enter the country?

I know they said people in certain job types/key workers can enter, but obviously I don't have my visa and I don't think i'd be able to get a work permit at the border because I don't have an LMIA.

I'm despairing i'm going to lose my job offer at this rate.

Have you requested your GCMS notes? Are you waiting for your COPR?

Unfortunately there isn't really any kind of work authorization you can get at this point, although working in a clinic in an Indigenous community certainly ticks multiple boxes in terms of how essential you would be considered if you had some way to legally work in Canada.

Unfortunately you cannot enter the country at this time. You would either need to have a COPR (i.e. have your PR approved) or have a work permit to be able to board a plane and fly to Canada. If you try now, your reasons for traveling will be classified as non-essential.
