Hi All
Have a thing to clarify. If there is a situation where my dependents dont meet the RO, but I continue to live and meet the RO, will I be able to apply for PR renewal just for myself. And then upon renewal, can re-apply for my dependents again as required.

Thanks in advance !

You can renew your PR without your dependents. They are responsible for their own RO.

Many thanks. Really appreciate the suggestions as they help to plan out things so much better. Can you pls tell me in case I do opt for this how long would it take generally to apply for PR for wife and child? Would it be considered Express Entry ?

You can’t sponsor your spouse and children again until they revoke or renounce their PR. After that it would be spousal/family sponsorship. If they are already in Canada, they don’t have to renew the pr card when it expires. It’s not required unless they plan to travel. They can simply reapply after they meet RO.

Thanks much. But what if they are not in Canada, their PR expires, while I continue in Canada and meet my RO and renew only my PR. In that case my wife and son have expired PRs and they are outside Canada. What is the best way to reapply or renew for them?
